Here's the news about the Monkey rerun on Channel 4 in the UK... Following on from the recent run of the second batch of 13 Monkey episodes (the second half of season one), Channel 4 will continue with the remaining 13 English-dubbed episodes (from season two) in January 2004. Hopefully it'll get a better timeslot too - fingers crossed! (apparently, the girl who does the scheduling is a big Monkey fan) Channel 4 have been very happy with the viewing figures, the first batch on Thursday nights picked up an average of 253,000 which was 10.2% of the market share and the second batch picked up an average of 160,000 which was 6.7% . When I get the new dates, I'll let you know. The Monkey Events - Monkey Convention (http://www.monkeyheaven.com/events_convention.html) page contains a mini-survey for UK fans to fill in, and the overall response I'm getting is that the UK Monkey fans are DESPERATE for the stars of Monkey to fly over from Japan to attend this convention, especially Masaaki Sakai! If you can help to contact Masaaki Sakai to invite him to the UK Monkey Convention 2004, please contact me URGENTLY. If you're a UK Monkey fan, and you haven't yet filled in the mini-survey, please visit the Monkey Events - Monkey Convention page: http://www.monkeyheaven.com/events_convention.html to sign it now. Also, if you're a Japanese fan reading this, please could you help spread the word about this - maybe post messages to Japanese message boards, or even Japanese TV, newspapers, magazines, anyone and everyone - we need to get Masaaki Sakai's attention to let him know about this!
