Then, after this has loaded, paste in the URL: http://www.geocities.com/circekull/monkeysm.jpg (This is because Geocities doesn't let you view just an image that 'hangs off' one of their web sites - you have the visit the site itself first) Howell _________________________________________________________________ Get Hotmail on your mobile phone http://www.msn.co.uk/mobile - --------------------------------------------------------------------- + List guidelines: http://www.monkeyheaven.com/guidelines.html + To unsubscribe, send an email to: majordomo@valinor.eldar.org with 'unsubscribe monkey' in the body of your message + Need help? I have just discovered that the popular British artist Alan Davis, who has been drawing British and American comics for twenty years or so, is a fan of Monkey. I learned of this in a book that has just been published this week. It's a large-format paperback book called MODERN MASTERS 1: ALAN DAVIS. It contains lengthy interviews with the artist, illustrated with numerous samples of his work. On pages 28-29 and 99-100 he mentions both the Monkey television series and Arthur Waley's abridged translation of Wu Cheng'en's book. On page 29 there is a drawing by Davis of Masaaki Sakai as Monkey. The book was published in the United States by TwoMorrows at $12.95, and is available in British comic chops for about ten pounds. It's worth a look. Alan Davis has drawn stories for 2000 A.D., Warrior, DC Comics, and the British and American divisions of Marvel Comics.
