As a child I was not exposed to Monkey. My father was, back in the UK, and he recently bought the whole set of videos. As a result, my youngest son, 13 years old, is now hooked on Monkey, can recite all the lyrics, knows all the details, and just basically loves the whole series. I do to, but I am not as good at remembering the lyrics! :-) I picked up a couple of MP3 files of the music on the net (following links out of Monkey Heaven), and my son has them on his PC. However, there are a few songs he would like to have, which I cannot find. One in particular is Pigsy's song "A fool!". Would anyone know where I can find an MP3 (or any audio format) of this song? Would anyone mind sharing it with me? And if you have any other audio files (other than those available on the few Monkey websites), please let me know! Thanks in advance! Kind regards Andrew _________________________________________________________________ Discutez en ligne avec vos amis ! http://messenger.msn.fr - --------------------------------------------------------------------- + List guidelines: http://www.monkeyheaven.com/guidelines.html + To unsubscribe, send an email to: majordomo@valinor.eldar.org with 'unsubscribe monkey' in the body of your message + Need help? (Note: If any of the URLs below become broken over 2 or more lines, you'll need to copy and paste them together into the address line of your browser in order to see them) Don't forget to look at the bottom of each page, and click on Next to go to even more pages of results in some cases. I've include some information about each person that I received. It plays 2 or 3 Jan every year. He is King of KAKUSHIGEI as he was in dinner show in THE DAY I MET MONKEY!. Masako Natsume (Tripitaka): - --------------------------- http://images.google.com/images?hl=ja&inlang=ja&lr=&ie=Shift_JIS&q=%89%C4%96%DA%89%EB%8Eq&btnG=Google+%8C%9F%8D%F5 Her foundation: http://www.himawari.ne.jp/index.html It lends wigs to cancer patients for free. He is one of the most famous actor in japan. Nowadays he is known for the movie series of "Tsuribaka nisshi". He plays main character "Hamachan" in the movie. The latest one may be "Tsuribaka nisshi part 13". Shiro Kishibe (Sandy) - ---------------------- He is a very interesting man. He bankrupted and disappeared when he worked for the morning show ,"Look Look Konnichiwa" in 1998. But he come back showbiz again gradually . :-) Couldn't find any images for him on Google. He recently appeared in a loan company's commercial film. This time he performed only his voice. He said the best way is not to borrow money. It's his joke. http://www.yomiuri.co.jp/hochi/geinou/jun/o20020625_80.htm THE TIGERS: http://www.etcrec.co.jp/tigers/tigers-index.htm Shunji Fujimura (Yu-Lung / Dragon): - ------------------------------------ http://images.google.com/images?q=%E8%97%A4%E6%9D%91%E4%BF%8A%E4%BA%8C&svnum=10&hl=ja&lr=lang_ja&ie=UTF-8&inlang=ja&start=20&sa=N (Nowadays Shunji's nickname is "Ohyoi san".) His bar's name is o'hyoi's. http://www.ohyoi.co.jp/ohyois/index.html http://www.ohyoi.co.jp/ It is not the sun of hyoisan, you know. In japanese the prefix "o" makes the name more polite, and suffix "san" also, especially for person. So he is ohyoi or ohyoi-san. The word "hyoi" maybe come from japanese word "hyohyo" that means buoyantly. Mieko Takamine (Buddha) - ----------------------- You've got to check these out - this is the first time I've ever seen photos of her outside of playing Buddha in Monkey: http://images.google.com/images?q=%8D%82%95%F4%8EO%8E%7D%8Eq&ie=Shift_JIS&hl=ja&btnG=Google+%8C%9F%8D%F5 - -- There's lots of great search results if you follow the links above.. but here's the 2 that intrigued me the most: 1) http://www.toonippo.co.jp/l-rensai/shutoken/shutoken03.html I think this is the producer of Monkey, and he's holding up 2 autographed photos of Masaaki Sakai (Monkey) and Masako Natsume (Tripitaka), and the photos are of them as their characters in Monkey. I don't know what the article's about, but I'd give anything for these autographed photos! 2) http://www.linkclub.or.jp/~keisuke/mistral/mistral.html I *think* this page has Masako Natsume's autograph - but I've no idea who the guy is at the top of the page - maybe he's a big fan? I received a video of the Monkey feature yesterday. It's around 6 minutes long, and includes a short interview with David Collings. He talks about how much fun it was to work on Monkey, how he never actually watched it when it went out on BBC2 - he only saw it in the dubbing suite. He says that when he was on the way to the dubbing sessions on the train, just after Monkey first started airing, he'd look out of the window and see schoolchildren all doing impressions of Monkey :) He then does a few examples of the Monkey voice, and it's still *spot-on*, even after all these years. Then, they show some footage from Monkey episode 25 "The Country Of Nightmares", and replace the close-ups from the show with footage of the RI:SE TV show presenter Colin Murray dressed as Monkey, flying around on his cloud, and David Collings overdubs it there and then. It's a great little feature - I'll see if I'm allowed to include this on my web site for everyone to enjoy. In the meantime, if anyone in the UK would like a copy of it on video, just drop me an email at: parryh@hotmail.com Howell >3) On Tuesday's RI:SE TV show, it was a bit Monkey day. It >included presenter Colin Murray driving around on the pink >cloud go-ped, and was apparently very amusing. David Collings >was there too, and was plugging the DVDs heavily. >I only found out about this on Tuesday, and so I missed it >- sorry I couldn't bring the info to you in time. Re: the lyrics - you'll find the lyrics to all the songs here: http://www.monkeyheaven.com/music_lyrics.html I don't know of anywhere where you can download an MP3 of "A Fool!" I'm afraid, but you can download a cheesy MIDI version of it from here: http://www.monkeyheaven.com/sounds.html To get "A Fool!", and the rest of the songs from Monkey, the "Magic Monkey" CD by Godiego is well worth buying - you can buy it easily online from CD Japan: http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=COCA-11090 I guarantee you won't be able to stop playing it.
