I've been in touch with Fabulous Films, and they've acknowledged that there are some duff copies of Monkey DVD 3 out there - most of them are however ok. They advise in the first instance that you get the DVD exchanged at the place where you bought it. If this isn't possible, contact Fabulous Films directly, and they will send you a replacement direct. Email them on: info@fabulousfilms.co.uk Howell _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp. - --------------------------------------------------------------------- + List guidelines: http://www.monkeyheaven.com/guidelines.html + List archives: http://archive.monkeyheaven.com/ User name: greatsage Password: masaaki + To unsubscribe, send an email to: majordomo@valinor.eldar.org with 'unsubscribe monkey' in the body of your message + Need help? Here's an account from one of the Monkey fans who's borrowed the Monkey costume from Fabulous Films: "OUTRAGEOUS!!!! The Suit was fantastic and the effect it has is unbelieveable! I apparently have lots of photos to sift through as I organised key people to take the piccies and they have had them developed already! The digital camera was dropped and broken which was a nightmare... but all the other images taken can be scanned in to use on the website.... I mocked up a Cloud out of an apple box nailed to my skateboard, then staple-gunned loads of cotton wool to it.... how funny was that!!! I was tic-tacking around the dancefloor on my cloud to everyones amusement! Cheers for such a cool idea... So... overall I think it went rather well.... and other than some of those added decorative pieces of leather coming off the boots as you said would happen... the outfit stood up to the test!" Someone I know has recently spoken to Michael Bakewell, the guy who directed the English dubbing of Monkey, and he got this information from him: - -- Tripitaka was played by Maria Wahlberg, not Miriam Margolyes. Sandy was played by Gareth Armstrong. The narrator was Bert Kwouk. Peter Marinker played a lot of the baddies in Monkey as well as many characters in Water Margin. - -- I'm a bit surprised about Bert Kwouk being the narrator for Monkey - it doesn't sound like him to me - although it does sound like home on The Water Margin. Besides, someone contacted me a while ago to say that their grandfather, Frank Duncan, was the English voice of the narrator on Monkey... Anyway, the good news is that I can contact Michael directly if I so wish, and ask him anything I want to about the work on Monkey. Does anyone have anything that they'd like me to ask him?
