There's hundreds of English songs to choose from, and also lots of Japanese songs. To get help finding these songs in the book, and also to get help in using the karaoke machine, just ask one of the staff. The Japanese songs include: 1) Monkey Magic (by Godiego) - - with the English onscreen lyrics 2) Gandhara (by Godiego) - - with the Japanese onscreen lyrics 3) Saraba Koibito (by Masaaki Sakai) - - with the Japanese onscreen lyrics 4) Maybe Moshimo Piano Ga... (by Toshiyuki Nishida) - I didn't look I really recommend it! Before 6pm, you can get a room for 4 people for just #8 per hour, and it's tremendous fun. If you want to sing Gandhara or Saraba Koibito, I'd recommend printing these off from the internet and taking them with you (I was prepared!) - here's where to get them: - - Gandhara English lyrics: http://www.monkeyheaven.com/music_mmlyrics.html#2 Japanese lyrics: http://www.monkeyheaven.com/music_gandharajaplyrics.html - - Saraba Koibito Japanese lyrics (there isn't an English version of this song) (these used to be available on the internet, but I can't see them anywhere any more). So I'll type them in from the printout I have from a year or so ago: - ------------- Saraba koibito by Sakai Masaaki Sayonara to kaita tegami "Table" no ue ni oita yo Anata no nemuru kao mite Damatte soto e tobi dashita Itsumo shiawase sugita no ni Kizukanai futari datta Tsumetai kaze ni fukarete Yoake no mati o hitori yuku Warui no wa boku no hou sa kimi jyanai Yureteru kishiya no mado kara Tiisaku ie ga mieta toki Omowazu mune ni sakenda Kanarazu kaette kuru yo to Itsumo shiawase sugia no ni Kizukanai futari datta Furusato e kaeru tizu wa Namida no umi ni sutete yukou Warui no wa boku no hou sa kimi jyanai Itsumo shiawase sugita no ni Kizukanai futari datta Furusato e kaeru tizu wa Namida no umi ni sutete yukou Warui no wa boku no hou sa kimi jyanai (by the way, now that I typed this up, I'll add it to my Masaaki Sakai page on www.monkeyheaven.com soon) - ------------- Here's the location: - --------------------- Karaoke Box 18 Frith Street London W1V 5TS (the name of the place is in Japanese katakana characters - but you'll find it using the number. There's a Japanese restaurant that you have to walk through to get to it. Don't go downstairs, or you'll end up in a tattoo parlour - like I almost did!) Telephone: 020-7494-3878 Open 7 days a week. Nearest underground station: TOTTENHAM COURT RD (after leaving the station, head towards Soho Square, cross it, and Frith Street is directly opposite on the other side of the square, on the top-right corner of the square) It gets very busy - so it's worth phoning up in advance to reserve a box. Howell PS There's nothing quite like singing Monkey Magic on karaoke - during the opening intro, you'll get an incredible urge to scream out "Monkeeeeeeeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyyyyy" (as I did - nearly deafened my friends!) PPS I'm definitely going to go to this place again, so if any of you fancy joining me for some of these songs sometime, let me know! :) _________________________________________________________________ Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: http://mobile.msn.com - --------------------------------------------------------------------- + List guidelines: http://www.monkeyheaven.com/guidelines.html + List archives: http://archive.monkeyheaven.com/ User name: greatsage Password: masaaki + To unsubscribe, send an email to: majordomo@valinor.eldar.org with 'unsubscribe monkey' in the body of your message + Need help?
