Please note that after 31 March 2001, Mind-it are becoming a fee-based service (the webmaster service only) - and everyone who's signed up for notification using the Mind-it form on my site will no longer receive emails when it's updated. To continue receiving change notifications after 31 March 2001, you'll need to go to my Monkey! site: http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Towers/8153/ and register for change notification with the new "ChangeDetection" service. (you'll see a box to fill in in the "ATTENTION: Mind-it / NetMind users!" note near the top of my page) Howell _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. - --------------------------------------------------------------- + To unsubscribe, send an email to: majordomo@valinor.eldar.org with 'unsubscribe monkey' in the body of your message + Need help? There's no release date yet - they may take a while coming up with extras for the DVD. But it's rumoured that the UK Monkey DVDs will contain some very interesting extras, perhaps even an interview with Masaaki Sakai! Please note that everything is vague at the moment, and that the above information is subject to change. E.g. the Masaaki Sakai interview may not surface (no arrangements have been made for this - it's just in the "idea" stage at the moment). When I get more information, I'll let you know. Regarding Sans Filtre's concert in the UK... it's still not been finalised, but the rumour is that it'll take place in London sometime in November 2001. Stay tuned for the latest information when I get it. I predict there'll be a big rush for tickets, and I'm hoping to announce the ticket sales here on the mailing list first, so that all of you who want to go can get tickets - then at a later date (probably a week or so later), I'll plug it big time on my Monkey! site: http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Towers/8153/ I don't know how soon I'll get the details, but one thing's for sure - when I find out, you'll be the first to know - after I've bought my tickets of course :> Howell _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. - --------------------------------------------------------------- + To unsubscribe, send an email to: majordomo@valinor.eldar.org with 'unsubscribe monkey' in the body of your message + Need help? Check out this new piece of Monkey fan fiction: http://www.fanfiction.net/index.fic?action=story-read&storyid=175643 Thanks to "CELESTIALBE1" who posted to the Monkey Message Board about this fan fiction. Here's the whole message that "CELESTIALBE1" posted to the Monkey Message Board: - --- I found this Monkey fanfiction: http://www.fanfiction.net/index.fic?action=story-read&storyid=175643 Be warned it's rated PG, so if you're not into the whole 'Tripitaka is really a girl, and her and Monkey have UST' thing you shouldn't read it. But if you can handle that, then I reckon you should go give the author some praise. I thought it was a fun little story, and I'm hoping he'll write a sequel... Maybe that makes me deeply twisted. < shrug > Oh well I still enjoyed it! - --- By the way, if you've not yet registered for the all-new singing and dancing Monkey Message Board, take a look here: http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Towers/8153/messageboard_intro.html Note: One really cool feature of this new Monkey Message Board is that it gives me the ability to set up Monkey chat events - so rather than having a chat room where no-one knows when other people will be there, I can "host" scheduled Monkey chat events that I'll publicise beforehand. I've gathered from recent emails and Monkey Message Board messages that the US Monkey mini-series "The Lost Empire" has been airing recently in the US and also in New Zealand. Has anyone seen it? What's it like? Is there anyone in New Zealand who can do me a copy of it? (since New Zealand uses PAL video like here in the UK, it's easier than get it converted from the US NTSC format) For more information (including photos) on "The Lost Empire", see this web page: http://www.10thkingdom.com/extranet_property.asp?propertyid=84 Howell _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. - --------------------------------------------------------------- + To unsubscribe, send an email to: majordomo@valinor.eldar.org with 'unsubscribe monkey' in the body of your message + Need help? Yu's translation of "Journey to the West" is a good 2,000+ MSword doc pages, as it has footnotes and Jenner's translation (published by the Beijing Foreign Press) doesn't. Jenner's translation, which I'm typing up for my friend in Germany (while editing the writing to make it more palatable for folks who like well-written books, something Yu did a good job on) is roughly 10-12 MSword doc pages with Rockwell 10pt font. I'm putting most of it up in HTML documents on my site by March 20th, if you're interested.
