Could just be my eyes, though! (Or that they used 16mm film for filming, and the stock footage is on 32mm.) BTW, did my eyes deceive me, or is there not a clip from _The Water Margin_ in 'Monkey Turns Nursemaid'? There's a stock footage-y sequence of various soldiers on horseback, and I'm sure that you can clearly see Atsuo Nakamura (who played Lin Chung) at the front of them! (Apologies if this is common knowledge.) As to the quality of the releases, if what I've seen is any guide, they look pretty fair for VHS: reasonably bright, with fairly sharp colour. I noticed one tiny little glitch in 'The Great Journey Begins' (I think!), and a dip in sound in 'Even Monsters Can Be People' that lasted a second or so. A couple of the opening and closing credits looked a little ragged at points, but overall it was a damn sight better than (for example) a lot of the BBC's releases. And, of course, the glitches I noticed might just be unique to my tapes.
