I've got their CD and it's quite good. Although the other tracks are garbage!!! The opening narration from Monkey is basically stuck on the front of a 38 minute hip-hop mix... I'm only 5 mins into it, but so far that was the only Monkey connection! - -- Henry Burrows -+- Work Email: hburrows@markcare.co.uk MarkCare Medical Systems Ltd -+- Home Email: henry@foiled.co.uk - --------------------------------------------------------------- + To unsubscribe, send an email to: majordomo@valinor.eldar.org with 'unsubscribe monkey' in the body of your message + Need help? I've just spoken to Fabulous Films, and they've received certification from the BBFC for the first three episodes of Monkey. Two of them have been given a PG rating, and the other one has been given a 12 rating, which means the video box will carry a 12 certificate. This means that the first Monkey video _will_ be released on Monday 3rd April 2000 as planned - just 17 days' time!!! :) (No news on the 2nd video yet; if they receive certification soon, it will be released on the same day, otherwise on Monday 17th April 2000) This also means that the Monkey TV and radio PR will go ahead as planned, maybe even starting a week before the release. So everyone in the UK, take a look at the Monkey Publicity page: http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Towers/8153/videos_publicity.html and keep an eye out for all these TV and radio shows. Let us know if you see/hear any Monkey publicity... Hopefully, on Monday 3rd April 2000, The Big Breakfast will have their Monkey themed programme! Howell PS As an aside, Fabulous Films told me they've just received 3,500 Monkey promotional posters, and they're a bit overwhelmed by them at the moment - everywhere they look, they've got them piled up around them :) This _may_ be the total number of Monkey promotional posters, so as soon as you get your Monkey video, order yourself a poster immediately, as demand may be high, and supplies are very limited. ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com - --------------------------------------------------------------- + To unsubscribe, send an email to: majordomo@valinor.eldar.org with 'unsubscribe monkey' in the body of your message + Need help? Well, I thought it was great. Was there a different writer for this one I wonder? There seemed to be something in this episode that had been missing from the last few. KEEP ON DANCING seemed to have much more humour and wit than most others, and thus I enjoyed it more. I really liked how Tripitaka learned something in this episode - even I went into shock when he yelled at the Husband and said he must be evil to have to dance like that. Surely the twit could see that they hadn't had any type of teaching and was teaching themselves? Monkey could, I'm sure. The plot seemed pretty basic and already-used (a monster is in love with a human who's married, so the monster gets rid of the husband so it can marry the wife) but this seemed to have a different slant on it. We almost even got a new disciple for our heroes (and wouldn't it be interesting if the Husband travelled with them for a while. Imagine, each episode could involve various different ways that Monkey/Sandy/Pigsy would attempt to kill him and scare him away) Oh, and I liked the scene when they're organising who's going to ride on the cloud (it sulks when it has to carry more than two people, hah!), who's going to ride on Yu-lung and who's going to walk (that horse really is lazy - why couldn't he carry two people? And what about Tripitaka?) If you watch carefully, there's a very short scene after this that has Pigsy yelling after Sandy on the horse, screaming "Not fair! You tricked me!" or some such thing. Got me laughing. Oh, and I love the "Monkey-cloud Kiddie Kar". The silliness of Monkey standing on his cloud as the little Goblin pedalled away at a snail's pace. And when he was thrown into multiple orbits, I was rolling on the floor at this point. I want one!!!! So, to conclude this review, I loved this episode and it's getting very near to top of my favourite episodes (I don't have a favourite yet, but this is pretty close). I'd rate it 9.5/10 Oh, and one more quote I liked: "The Buddha must like fools, since he made so many of us." Classic!
