Hi, I found this on the Cinescape site... Gibson Jumps Into 'Monkey' Thomas Gibson (Dharma and Greg) has signed on for the lead role in Robert Halmi's four-hour NBC fantasy miniseries The Monkey King. According to Variety, Gibson will receive a paycheck in the $1.5M range for taking the role. The series, which also stars Bai Ling, will tell the story of an American businessman who travels to a "Chinese land" to battle mythical monsters. The series script was written by David Henry Hwang. In addition, the trade reports that Russell Wong is currently in negotiations to take on the series' title role. Peter MacDonald will helm the production. Stranger & stranger... So I imagine it'll be possible to get your hands on these from video shops, places that sell promotional posters, and other poster shops. I've seen Water Margin promotional posters on sale in a tv memorabilia shop in London, and also in a poster shop in Manchester. So they may stock the Monkey promotional posters following the video release. Howdy folks, I'm from Australia and I've just joined the list. This may sound wierd but I feel an intense brotherhood with you guys because I too am a Monkey fan. I've got about 16 episodes on tape my favourite being the one where Buddha frees Monkey from his Golden band and then he is killed by the Iron Collar of Death. I cried when I first saw that episode and it still stings my eyes to this day. I'm not afraid to say this and if you guys are as big a fans as I think you are then I'm sure you're all giving understanding nods of the head. Anyway there are a few things that have mystified me in the show and maybe I can finally get some answers. For now I'll just start off by asking why was Pigsy's cloud so screwed. I mean the backfiring an all of that! But the way he summoned it was pretty cool.
