I've just tried it too, and it looks like Tu's web page is once again accessible all over the Internet - looks like the netadmins have sorted things out. Here's Tu's Monkey page: http://www-personal.usyd.edu.au/~tchung/monkey.html ...which also means that the following files that I link to on Tu's web space are accessible again: 1) 9MB zipped avi of the Monkey intro sequence: http://www-personal.usyd.edu.au/~tchung/monkey/monkey.zip 2) Wav file of the original Japanese intro to Monkey (with the Japanese narrator's voice): http://www-personal.usyd.edu.au/~tchung/monkey/japintro.wav 3) RealMedia file of the Monkey opening sequence (978K): http://www-personal.usyd.edu.au/~tchung/monkey/monkey.rm 4) Aron Toman's Monkey mix, featuring lots of music and samples from Monkey: http://www-personal.usyd.edu.au/~tchung/monkey/Monkeymx.mp3 Howell ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com - --------------------------------------------------------------- + To unsubscribe, send an email to: majordomo@valinor.eldar.org with 'unsubscribe monkey' in the body of your message + Need help? I really should re-record that one of these days. I heard it recently and I realised now I could do so much better! That and the Screensaver I did. Hey, did I tell you about how I found out that screensaver and my name were mentioned in some International PC magazine? I was so suprised - it isn't even my best Screensaver! Yes. I have a full-page ad in a Japanese comic for one of the series. It's mostly a big picture of (a quite fat) Toshiyuki in lots of fishing gear standing back to back with a pregnant woman (presumably his "wife" in the film). Very funny, I'll try to scan it. Also, Toshiyuki Nishida has starred in "Gakko" and "Gakko II" (Literally, "School" and "School II", English titles, "A Class To Remember" and "A Class To Remember II") where he is a teacher for a night class of unusual students. In the first, it's a catch-up class for learning impared and adults who never finished their education. In the second, it's more of a school for mentally disabled children. The first film is very funny, and the second also has many funny moments. Both are also very heartwarming (especially the ending of "Gakko II" - can anyone help me get a recording of that song they sing?) Anyway, I recommend all Toshiyuki Nishida fans to see at least the first film. As a note, I've just thought of a series for "Pigsy" fans. It's got nothing to do with Monkey, though. The series is "Tora-san" (ie "Tora-san returns home", "Tora-san at the seaside", etc). It's quite famous in Japan. I've only seen one of the films, but it was quite funny. Tora-san is a chubby fellow with a kind heart, but not much will to work and an eye for the ladies (although he's much more reserved than Pigsy!). He wanders around, and usually ends up doing good deeds for people he meets, despite his laziness. Anyway, I've strayed a bit off topic here ... :P Chris.
