I like the Anthony Yu one because it's the most complete like you said. It seems to be the truest translation. I've seen it in play form also which was just amazing. It was directed and written by Mary Zimmerman from Chicago, Illinois. She used Yu translation as a base for the play. Very cool. It was an adaption of JW, and seemed to be a serial. Monkey just looked like some guy, but he had red hair and a beard (not the older videos, where monkey looks like a monkey). His staff was silver, the production was really into effects which were interesting but bad. Lots and lots of kung-fu. Prince Nata was in this episode. Anyone know anything about what show this is? - ----------------------------------------------------- How do I leave this mailing list? + Send an email to: majordomo@valinor.eldar.org + In the body of your email message, put: unsubscribe monkey Need help? + Send an email to: owner-monkey@valinor.eldar.org NOTE: If you reply to this message, you must remove everything between the dashed lines (----) in your reply, or it will not go to the list. - ----------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 21 Mar 1999 17:53:43 +1100 From: "Toman" Subject: Re: [monkey] monkey magic screening in Australia.
