Thought I was the only loony to ever like this show; got on the net to find out that 'Tripitaka' had died :( - (no 'Monkey' re-union in the offing, then); got insanely jealous of those two fans who met Masaaki Masai in Japan; joined the 'Monkey' list: my life in a nutshell! Caught the series again on 'Bravo' a few years ago, and when Pigsy changed actors, realised why I eventually went off the programme back in my early teens. (I also found it annoying when they dumped the beautiful 'Ghandara' from the end credits.... ) It's a tribute the show that being so obviously dubbed it worked so well. Before this, I'd not seen it for 15 years, the last time being back in 1981 when I was only 9 years old. For many years, I'd been wanting to see Monkey again, so I rushed round to my friends' house, and sat there totally engrossed in the show, and beaming from start to finish. When the opening titles started and 'Monkey Magic' started playing, I got the greatest feeling of nostalgia I have ever known.
