Subject: [monkey] Monkey digests archive

I've just been informed that the mailing list server on which this 
mailing list lives has very little disk space left on it, so to gain 
space, the guy who runs the server is going to delete all the archives 
of all mailing lists which run on the server.
Currently, all Monkey Digest emails that have been sent to the mailing 
list since May 1997 are still present on the server, but will all be 
deleted on 1st February 1999.
If you'd like to read/keep these old Monkey digests for yourself (e.g. 
you might be new to the list so you've missed most of them), you can 
obtain them by doing the following:

Send an email:

To: majordomo@valinor.eldar.org
Subject: index
Body:

index monkey-digest
- -

You'll then get an email back, listing the names and dates of all the 
digests that are available.
Each digest's name is of the following form:

v01.nXXX  where XXX is the number of the digest
(e.g. an example name is v01.n289)

To get the actual digests, send another email to:  
majordomo@valinor.eldar.org
and this time, in the body of your email put:

get monkey-digest NAME
for *every* digest you'd like (so if you wanted to get all the digests, 
your email message would contain over 300 of these 'get' lines)

So an example email to get digests 1 to 5 is:

To:  majordomo@valinor.eldar.org
Subject:  get
Body:

get monkey-digest v01.n001
get monkey-digest v01.n002
get monkey-digest v01.n003
get monkey-digest v01.n004
get monkey-digest v01.n005
- -

Remember, you can only get these digests in the next 2 weeks, until 
Sunday 31st January 1999. After this time, they will all be deleted.

Ideally, I'd like to put all these digests up on the web somewhere, and 
make them searchable, i.e. have a searchable archive of the digests, but

I don't know how to go about doing this.
If anyone can help, please email me and let me know (in the next 2 
weeks...)
