I don't know whether the fact that Bravo loses the broadcasting rights in August '98 is good news or not. If the BBC haven't repurchased the rights then we might have a long wait until Monkey comes back on our screens :-( Thanks for trying to find out anyway Howell. Hi All, Just thought I'd share a little piece of info I got. As many of the aussie people on this list may know, Siren Entertainment is one of Australia's top distributors of "cult classic" videos. They brought back many shows that we hadn't seen for years so I decided to ask them if they had any plans to release Monkey on video. Here is a copy of the email I sent to them, and their reply: >> Dear Siren ent. >> Firstly, thankyou for bringing us all those great cult classics like >> Astroboy, Voltron and the chinese action films! Looking through your >> website reminded me of the shows I used to watch when I was younger. >> One show that I distinctly remember watching on the ABC long ago was >> Monkey, or Monkey Magic as it was often called. I was wondering if >> your company had any plans to release that series on video? >> Regards, >> Daniel >Dear Daniel, > >We've been trying for two years. I'm sure it cannot be to far away >now. > >Thanks for the tip! > >Regards, > >Paul >Siren Entertainment So there you have it, Siren are acitvely seeking the rights to release Monkey on video! Lets hope they can come through with the goods! ~Daniel PS: If anyone else wishes to email Siren Ent. their email address is: info@sirenent.com.au ------------------------------ End of Monkey Digest V1 #264 **************************** ----------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the Monkey Mailing List digest list, send mail to: majordomo@valinor.eldar.org with the following command in the body of your email message: unsubscribe monkey-digest To send a message to the list, send mail to: monkey-digest@valinor.eldar.org If you have any problems or questions, send mail to: owner-monkey@valinor.eldar.org For lots more information and news about "Monkey", check out the Monkey! web site: http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Towers/8153/
