Me and my friends have often pondered whether monkey was in fact welsh! This may sound strange but if you have ever seen the episode where monkey takes a wee on budda's fingers and meets her he says: "I always thought Budda was a fella!" When he says this line he says it in a very surprised, heavily welsh accent. This leads me to conclude that Monkey (or at least the guy who spoke for Monkey) was welsh! Do you think the welsh guy could do Kung-Fu as well!!!! Write me back with all your suggestions so i can clarify this argument with my friends. Love, Saif xxx ;-) ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 29 Jan 1998 19:59:36 -0000 From: "Martin Day" Subject: [monkey] Monkey on TV >> YES it was one of the greatest, no, the Greatest TV show of all time. >> However, if anyone out there is hoping to see MONKEY back on the tele >in >> its original form, forget it. After all, one of Monkey's favourite terms of abuse if 'pooftah', and Pigsy is as sexist as they come... And quite what any of this has to do with the 'left-wing' (oh, stop, my aching sides) BBC is anyone's guess! They thrive on showing risqué items - just look at the late night films the show (which I don't by the way). The show is an odd length to us of approx. 42.5 minutes as we do not have such regular advert breaks as other countries do. If you record any American show and cut out adverts you will find that it is the same length of between 42 and 44 minutes - this does not mean it has been edited does it Dawn ------------------------------ End of Monkey Digest V1 #186 **************************** ----------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the Monkey Mailing List digest list, send mail to: majordomo@valinor.eldar.org with the following command in the body of your email message: unsubscribe monkey-digest To send a message to the list, send mail to: monkey-digest@valinor.eldar.org If you have any problems or questions, send mail to: owner-monkey@valinor.eldar.org For lots more information and news about "Monkey", check out the Monkey! web site: http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Towers/8153/
