Thanks for the great summary, Chris.

I've heard this episode sometimes called "Outrageous Coincidences" -
for example, on Marty's Monkey episode listing page:
http://ds.dial.pipex.com/marty/monkey.htm

So it appears it was called "Outrageous Coincidences" when broadcast by 
the BBC here in the UK.

Did it really have a different name "Astonishing Coincidences" when 
broadcasted in Australia? Do any of the other episode have alternative 
titles?
