Oops - I made a mistake here. I meant to say that David Collings did the voice of Monkey; David Weir was of course responsible for the English adaptation of Monkey. Weir wrote the English scripts - funnily enough, he *nearly* wrote for _Doctor Who_. He also did the English _Water Margin_, _The Lotus Eaters_ and wrote for such series as _The Onedin Line_. I think I read somewhere (here, even?!) that it was David Collings who provided Monkey's voice. As well as playing Mawdryn in the _Doctor Who_ story 'Mawdryn Undead', he's also been in things like _Elizabeth R_, _Sapphire & Steel_ (playing the semi-regular Silver), _The Ruth Rendell Mysteries_ and _Press Gang_. >I've no idea who all the other actors were - anyone got any ideas? No: the beeb used to list the UK-based actors for _The Water Margin_, but didn't for _Monkey_, though I suppose it's possible there was an overlap of personnel.
