I saw a full set of "Water Margin" videos in a local HMV. I am sure that it is only a matter of time before the same company make "Monkey" available to buy in pleasing to the eye boxes. By the way speaking of insane kung-fu-type entertainment has anyone seen the video of the Hong Kong made "Burning Paradise". It looks a little grimmer than Monkey but seems to boast top of the range special effects. Does anyone know anything about it? Does anyone know where "Monkey" was made? I had always assumed Japan but it could have been Hong Kong. Finally I have just recalled that a friend of mine had an LP by the group "Gondiego" who did all the top tunes in Monkey, including the unforgettable "Dragons and Demons and All Kinds of Monsters". I must go and see whether he still has it. Yes, the same company (Fabulous Films) are *hoping* to make "Monkey" available later this year. They've got a whole load of dealing with NTV first, to get the video rights to the series. >Finally I have just recalled that a friend of mine had an LP by the group >"Gondiego" who did all the top tunes in Monkey, including the unforgettable >"Dragons and Demons and All Kinds of Monsters". 'I am afraid we no longer hold the rights to this programme and therefore it will not be repeated.' So the BBC can't (or won't) show it! Maybe another idead would be to approach one of the ITV stations or maybe even Channel 4? Or what about Channel 5 (if you can get it, I just get a very weak, snowy picture with little or no sound, often C5 pic has no sync..) This weekend I also hope to capture some .AVI files of monkey.
